Loving Someone Online

Crazy right?
Not when the person you love is a 1 week baby who can't help but being cute!

Its been awhile since I posted a blog, I think I subconsciously knew that nothing would top this moment!

On Monday Feb 9th at about 8:50am (England time), as I was registering my form group (homeroom) my phone went off. Earlier that morning my brother in law had told me after an extremely long labour my sister and best friend was finally 9.5 cm dilated. I was half expecting it just being an update from my dad, saying the same thing that Alex had told me. I opened my phone and there he was---the cutest most adorable little man I have ever seen.

I instantly stood up and went around parading my new nephew off to all my teacher friends who listened to me talk about my sisters pregnancy for 9 months.

I am happy to say that baby Collin Cook is now at home and cute as ever.

It has been a really hard process not being at home for the beginning of this new adventure in my sisters life. I always thought I would be there when she had a child, to hold the baby as a new born and make sure from day one he knew that I would always be there for him. However, I have come to the realization in this past two years that some things are out of my control and in the long run everything will work out the way it is supposed to.

That being said, I still cannot wait to meet him this summer and not just love him online but love him in person as well.

On another note, these past two weeks have also been exciting for me as I went to Zurich for the weekend. Its the best thing about living in Europe, the fact that a plane ticket to Switzerland is equivalent to driving to Niagara Falls and back for a weekend in terms of cost. Zurich is quite small, so with my crazy travel brain I saw all the cites in about an hour so then was able to sit and take in the city. On a negative, Zurich is insanely expensive. I had heard it was more pricey than England but the fact that a sausage (Currywurst), chips and a diet coke cost me the equivalent of 18pound/30 dollars was a little ridiculous!
